My Dar-es-Salaam is premium lifestyle platform, with a highly engaged readership who come to us for the latest in hotels, dining, beauty, fashion, attractions, what’s on and more. Our team is made up of dynamic individuals from all walks of life coming together to inspire people to visit, work, and do business in Dar-es-Salaam.

You are responsible for all the visuals, from material for the website to magazine and social media. You have a lot of freedom to develop your creative ideas into new articles, videos, social media projects and so on. You are in the lead during the entire process from concept development to editing. You therefore have all the required skills to execute this process. In addition, you have a sense of styling and you share our vision for My Dar-es-Salaam.

You ensure that our Magazine continuously have enough content at their disposal, which can be used for new articles, social media, email marketing and website content.

This position is dynamic: we are looking for someone who works  1/2/3 days a week. Specific agreements regarding working days/times are negotiable. For example, it is possible to work at My Dar-es-Salaam for a few days in addition to your freelance work.

Role and Responsibilities

• Developing creative concepts and translating them into stories and articles
• Shooting and editing photo and video content.
• Product photography

Requirements:

• Affinity with the brand
• At least 2 years of experience in similar jobs (content creation, editing, etc.)
• You speak Swahili and English well
• You are critical, also of your own work
• Expert in photography, videography, editing (Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro are a must)
• You have a commercial attitude
